Spending $16,000 or more to make a Camaro into a Camaro convertible isn't a rational decision, but we can certainly understand people wanting one. We drove the concept version of this car from Chevrolet two years ago ("Top This!" AW, July 2, 2007) and loved it. Back then, Chevrolet planned to release a convertible version of the new Camaro in November 2009, but an economic cliff intervened, pushing production to the second quarter of 2011.

We’ve all been predicting the arrival of the Jaguar F-Type Coupe since the F-Type Roadster arrived, but so far Jaguar are keeping it debut under wraps. It could launch next month in Los Angeles or Tokyo, in the new year in Detroit or even as late as Geneva 2014. But it’s on its way and it’s looking very promising.
Two paved circle tracks in Southern California should be up and racing by spring, good lord willing and the creek don't rise. The two facilities plan to cooperate in order to maximize the chances of success. Irwindale Speedway, now officially to be referred to as The Irwindale Event Center, had no races on its oval tracks in 2012 after the former track operators filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in February.
